Warrior Information
Communication
The most frequent question I receive
from parents is, “how can I reach you?”
You may contact me in the following ways:
Tom Cox Intermediate
phone: 281-465-3200
I have a webpage located on
the Tom Cox Intermediate website under my name, which will let you know about
upcoming tests, projects, and assignments.
Your help at home is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me with any
questions. I am here to help your child
be successful in school and communication is key to help that happen.
Progress Reports
Progress reports with grades
for all classes will be given to your child in their homebase classroom at the
midpoint of the quarter.
Language Arts Homework
Your child is required to
read every night for 20 minutes and respond to their weekly reading, which is
due every Thursday. The responses will
be counted for a daily grade.
Additionally, there will be homework assignments and/or projects, which
will require completion at home.
Student Planner
Learning to use a planner is
essential for life long success. Please
check your child's planner daily for homework.
Unfinished class assignments will become homework and due at the
beginning of the next class period.
What are our expectations,
classroom guidelines, and consequences?
Students are expected to come
to school on time each day ready to
learn in a classroom free from distractions.
This is possible when all students follow our school and classroom rules;
respectful to classmates and
teachers and responsible with
assignments and supplies. I have listed my
classroom expectations, guidelines, and consequences in order to guarantee your
child a safe and successful learning environment.

Attendance
Policy
Attendance
is a huge part of school success and I strongly encourage your child to attend
school every day. However, I understand
children will get sick from time to time.
Please feel free to email me or your child’s homebase teacher regarding
the absence(s) and send a note to school regarding his/her absence(s). Your child will be given the number of days
missed from school to makeup the work.
